Hello Parents!
When I start to think of the grade I want to teach, I don't see myself using a blog for my students to use and read. My target audience is you, the parents. I see you wanting a place to stay up to date with your children in what they're learning, current and future events and anything else that will help you go through the process with them.
Although I don't yet have my own classroom, I've started to set up this blog in preparation for it. I've posted links in the right sidebar that I feel will be useful to you to help you and your child go through this adventure. My first link is about showing children how to recognize their feelings and how to process them. Children at a young age are still finding out what each emotion may feel like. They can learn about it and parents can show them how to handle them the right way.The second link is about the importance of a parent teacher relationship. I have always felt that this was an important key in education. Being able to work together with parents and making them feel part of the classroom family can benefit everyone.
About Me:
Welcome to my Blog!
Let me tell you a little about myself. I am 33 year old mother of four and I have an amazing husband. When I wanted to go back and work on my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood education, it was a big step. I knew it would be hard with my youngest still being small. However, I love working with children and with having a job in a school for so long, it showed me that my heart was with the younger ages. Now that I am almost done, it feels surreal that I get to do something that I will love.
